About "Take Two... Rose"

Ruthanne Ankney's unique and engaging voice creatively weaves together the infectiously intriguing adventures of a struggling actress, family tales, and the humorous conflicts between big city dreams and small town values.

The enchanting play written and performed by Ruthanne Ankney centers on Rose Holly. Rose Holly discovered at a very young age an undying passion to one-day play Blanche DuBois to thousands. Rose Holly is struggling to hold on to her dream. However, she is having a birthday that sparks a crisis sending her on a journey back to her small hometown, self-discovery and a surprise chance at "star-dom". On her journey home, revelations, redemption, second chances to fulfill childhood ambitions and dreams become possible due to the kindness of strangers, a cast of eccentrics and the intercession of friends from the past.

Rose wants magic and Ruthanne Ankney gives that. The playwright and actress gives that and more with a luminous performance, a challenging one woman piece and a voice that speaks honestly and passionately straight from the heart. Rose Holly is an unforgettable character that inspires all and speaks to all who desire magic and passion in their lives.
