Ruthanne was guided by Tennesee Williams scholars to the ruins of an old cotton gin said to be used as the setting for William's Twenty Seven Wagons Full of Cotton. Ruthanne slipped into her Baby DOLL Meehan while picking cotton and checking out the old cotton gin.
Philadelphia actors Ted Boradaeff and Susan Trigianni joined Ruthanne in the venture to the 1999 Tennessee William's Festival. The company presented several William's one acts. The program included This Property is Condemned, Lady of Larkspur, Twenty Seven Wagons Full of Cotton and The Case of the Crushed Petunias. The company recieved great reviews and accolades. The Case of the Crush Petunias recieved great praise because it is one of William's plays that is rarely done. Some consider it corny...old fashion stuff. Blue Rose Moon's production was summed up as "A SHEER BREATH OF FRESH AIR....CHARMING.....GLOWING....INTOXICATING!" The production actually brought many to tears. Ted Boradaeff and Ruthanne Ankney (adults) played the children in this Property is Condemed. Their performance was described as etheral, innocent and pure.....haunting........
